Privacy Policy

1. Overview
ToolBox (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free collection of online utility tools available on this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Short version: the tools themselves run entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the text, files, or data you enter into them. The only data handled about you is the standard information involved in serving a website and showing advertising, described below.
2. Information you enter into tools
Everything you type, paste, or upload into a ToolBox tool is processed locally on your device using your browser. It is not sent to our servers, logged, or stored by us. When you refresh or close the tab, that data is gone. We therefore have no ability to see, recover, or share the content you work with.
One exception: the QR Code generator sends the text you enter to the third-party API at api.qrserver.com in order to render the QR image. Please do not enter sensitive information into that particular tool. All other tools process data entirely on your device.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and advertising partner automatically receive certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is standard server and advertising data used to operate the site, keep it secure, and serve ads. We do not maintain our own analytics that profile individual users.
4. Advertising & Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements, which helps keep ToolBox free. The following disclosures apply:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet. You can read more in Google’s How Google uses information from sites that use its services page.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar laws, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, in line with applicable regulations.
5. Cookies
ToolBox does not set its own tracking cookies. We use your browser’s local storage only to remember your display preferences (such as light/dark theme and text size) on your own device — this never leaves your browser. Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies for advertising as described above. You can manage, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so will not break any of the tools.
6. Third-party services
This website relies on a small number of third parties to function:
- Google AdSense — advertising, as described in section 4.
- Vercel — our hosting provider, which may collect standard server logs including IP addresses and request data. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy.
- api.qrserver.com — used only by the QR Code generator, only when you use that specific tool, as described in section 2.
Each third party processes data under its own privacy policy, linked above where applicable.
7. Your rights & choices
Because we do not collect personal information about you ourselves, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can control advertising cookies through the opt-out links in section 4, manage all cookies and local storage through your browser, and use any standard ad-blocker if you prefer not to see ads — none of which affects the functioning of the tools. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; to exercise any such right, contact us using the details below.
8. Children’s privacy
Our tools are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please reach us via the contact page or by email at [email protected]. See also our Terms of Use and Disclaimer.
